Company Overview

Grimm City Investors

Grimm City Investors is a real estate investment, development, and advisory firm focused on the sustainable development of communities that are socially-conscious, economically empowering, and environmentally friendly through multifamily, hospitality, and cannabis investments in neighborhoods that have faced disinvestment historically. This means neighborhoods with large minority and low-income populations that fell victim to redlining, the war on drugs, or other forms of legalized, systemic racism and discrimination over the course of America’s history.

With roots in the Bronx, New York, our mission is to improve every community that we invest into while actively combatting gentrification and other negative socio-economic impacts that can result from real estate investment and development. As a mission-oriented investment firm, we are intensely focused on a triple-bottom line approach: creating sustainable positive social and economic impacts for the communities we invest into and the residents we serve, creating sustainable “green” real estate assets that strive for excellence in environmental conservation, and creating sustainable positive financial outcomes for our firm and our investors.

We invest in a variety of primary and secondary urban markets across the United States, with a focus on opportunistic and value-add real estate investments that span from the ground-up development of new real estate assets on both greenfield and brownfield sites, to the adaptive re-use, rehabilitation, renovation, and repositioning of existing real estate assets. We specialize in creating mixed-use, mixed-income communities that co-locate complimentary real estate uses and provide high-quality living, social, and retail spaces to a diverse range of residents of all income levels. Our expertise covers both market-rate and affordable housing, and our projects make use of a complex variety of public and private capital sources, including grants, subsidies, tax credits, and tax-exempt bonds, as well as private equity and debt investments.

Combined Impact

Grimm City Investors’ primary business objective is to own and operate real estate assets in targeted locations with the specific goal of creating positive social and economic impacts for the company as well as the communities we operate in. High Life Luxury Cannabis is Grimm City Investors’ proprietary cannabis lifestyle brand that will be utilized in conjunction with select Grimm City real estate assets in order to provide cannabis consumers with top quality cannabis products and experiences while also creating a more positive public association of cannabis consumption.

Together, Grimm City Investors & High Life Luxury Cannabis will work to utilize real estate and cannabis as forces to positively impact economically distressed communities, especially those with large minority populations and/or those harmed by the War on Drugs, through mindful investment and operating decisions.
