Grimm City Investors is dedicated to changing the world through impact real estate and cannabis investments.
Keeping this in mind at all times is at the heart of the work we do. As such, we have identified three primary goals for our business:
- Invest in economically distressed communities that have faced disinvestment historically.
- Develop vibrant mixed-use, mixed-income communities that promote social and economic well-being for all residents.
- Utilize cannabis to positively impact communities that were disproportionately affected by cannabis prohibition and the War on Drugs.
More specifically, this means:
- Investing in communities with large concentrations of low-income residents, particularly in the urban core of large cities
- Investing in communities with large concentrations of residents of color, particularly communities with large Black or Hispanic populations
- Investing in communities that were subject to discriminatory housing or policing policies, such as redlining and the War on Drugs
More specifically, this means:
- Developing mixed-use communities that feature a variety of real estate uses including multifamily, retail, hospitality, office, and cannabis assets
- Developing mixed-income communities that are inclusive for a wide range of income levels by promoting low- to upper-middle income residents living in a single community through a combination of market-rate & subsidized Affordable Housing units
- Developing communities that are socially and economically empowering for its residents by promoting access to improved social resources including housing, education, after-school & childcare services, job placement, healthcare, nutrition, financial literacy, banking, and safety
More specifically, this means:
- Investing in high quality cannabis real estate assets and operating businesses to create positive economic benefits associated with the legal cannabis industry, including new jobs and tax revenue
- Promoting a positive image of recreational cannabis consumption to counteract the negative social stigmas that were fabricated to demonize cannabis consumers, particularly Black and Hispanic consumers
- Promoting the federal legalization of cannabis, and the release of all prisoners currently being held on non-violent cannabis offenses
